Last Call At Tikilandia is a collection of the art of Robert Jiménez, one of the fastest rising stars on the Tiki art scene. This book contains process shots and finished art that includes subjects as diverse as Groucho Marx, Theodore Roosevelt, Santa Claus, mad Scientists, Chimps and Tikis. Strikingly colorful and completely fresh, Jimenez's art combines imaginative iconic imagery from our pop culture past with his own original style and flair.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York Robert Jiménez began to draw at an early age with comic books and 70's Saturday morning cartoons as a major influence. Tthe artwork of comic artist such as Gil Kane, Jim Aparo, Neal Adams and later George Peréz and Bill Sienkiewicz led him towards a career in the arts where in addition to his painting, he illustrates, designs and animates for broadcast television. Robert Jiménez now lives in Pembroke Pines, Florida with his wife and 2 daughters.
